My current projects. The Panzer IV and Panzer II are all done. The panzer IV is warlords resin tank repainted from a desert war scheme. Have enough tanks for that project. The PAnzer II is a 1/48 tank from Tamyia. Had to repair it and gave it a new coat of paint. Used AK Panzergrau. Very nice spraypaint. Painted them up for my early war germans collection I got. The fallschirmsjäger will join them too. An AT gun, support weapons for the fjs and some trucks and we're all set. Then to start building an early war allied army. Collecting never ends. Started all these stuff because I saw some rumour about plastic french infantry from warlord. That got my mojo going. Fun to to have one side in the coflivt done when the french arrive. If they arrive, since this was something someone posted on facebook.

My italian support weapons are also finished. Great set from Warlord. Need to get some more italians from them. Did actually buy my first Wargames atlantic miniatures. Got the italian box and they look like rather nice miniatures. And finally finished my Warzone Imperials trenches. They got a rough paintjob but painted nonetheless. Some washing and only 2 highlights here and there. Could have done more on these but don't have the energy nor time.

Afrika korps, Easterlings and Praetorians

So I've been a little productive and manage to get some stuff finished and some stuff are nearing completion. The Praetorians are finished and turned out rather nice. Very pleased with the Mortar. Always fun details on those old minis.
My Sdkfz 7 is finished and I'm not sure if I will weather it with powders or not. Quite pleased if how it looks right now and I'm not very good at uisng those powders.

First out in this post is my Winter germans from Warlord. Did finish these last fall but don't think I've posted them here. Did try out a new face paint tone which I thought looked great at first but now I think it looks awful. Haha!
Also almost done with my US army. This army was painted in about 7 days. Mostly used washes and only 1 basecolour. So glad I painted these. They've been nagging at me at the painting queue. I threw myself at my 8th army support weapons to. Mostly washes here too as I did the other 8th army dudes with washes. I will certainly paint like this in the future. So much easier to paint.

 

Almost done with my early war germans. I have flocked the bases but haven't got any shots of it. Need to find some fitting bases for the prone landsers too. Quite a nice set despite that it is a few years in the making. 

Also worked on some ww2 stuff in september. The early war germans aren't done yet but the trucks are finished. Turned out so-so as the windows was ruined by the matt coat finish. I should have known but hey, better luck next time I guess. Was to lazy to add decals so I hand painted them  quickly instead. Will add passengers later on. 

Finished my Warlord games Waffen SS set today. Took a while but I haven't worked on from time to time. I used Warlords different guides for the camouflage. Great minis and a great set. Highly recommended.

My SS are slowly being finished. Bases and boots left then I got four left to do. They are turning out great so far.

Slow work on my SS. Little low on inspiration for these guys so they take some time to be finished. Was going for a one coloured unit but got so bored of the quality on the paint I use so I went with some vallejo green for other smocks. Using Warlord games guide. 

Got started on my Warlord SS. Followed they're good at youtube. Not entirely happy with the brown but it will do as I just want to get them finished. These were some great minis especially the faces. First time I used grey undercoat. Also got my Catachans finished. Took a while but they ended up to be rather nice. Glad I managed to finish them as I wanted these since I was a young lad. Now I just need to find a box in good condition.

 

What have I've been up to? A lot frankly. Kitchen renovations, kids and all that stuff but I have had time to do some hobbywork. I still work on my grenadier set. Lack quite alot of hobby material right now so some project are on hold and I've started new ones so there is quite alot going on. I made a bunker this weekend. Actually three but only one is complete. It's inspired from the game Stalingrad where there is bunkers like this one. Nice game too btw. I got a soft spot for wood and earth fortifications. Also working on some spare soviets. Never planned on assembling and paint them but it is a nice set so I gave them some colours and will recieve another 48 around christmas time. Both longing and dreading for their arrival. They are really fun to paint but a hell to assemble.
