My Fallschirmsjaegers box is finished. Really pleased with them. Especially the bluegray uniforms. My Dire Avengers are finsihed too. Next on the line are Perry miniatures knights and some union ACW soldiers along with some chaos cultists. 

 

 

Got some stuff done this weekend. Working on my last group of FJs. When these are done I have painted the whole box along with some extras from the DAK box. Read some news on facebook that WG is releasing a french box in the near future. Lovely news as my Fjs are a french 1940 project. Hope we get a metal vichy french box too.
My dire avengers are coming along too. Got the bases and boots to be painted. Was tempted at getting quite a load of these but I found them as a chore to be painted. Don't think I'll get any more of them in the near future. I'll keep my eye out for warp spiders though. They look really cool.
Next stuff I'll work on are some 2nd edition 40k Guard and perry miniatures Unnion infantry along with some more early war germans mixed with Afrikakorps box which will give me quite an amount o weapons teams. Might start on some buildings too. Cheers!

  

 

 

Hello there. Though I've been quite on the blog it does'nt mean I'm not getting stuff done. My work on the fallschirmjäger continue and I actually finished and old terrain piece with a knocked out tank. Built a field few years back and cut out a square for the tank and painted it. Drybrushed a little chaos black where the tank is burning. This weekend I finished my Eldar guardians to. Used Cassandora yellow on Wraithbone spray. Find yellow hard to paint and this is a good combo to get an easy yellow uniform. The rest are just standard 3 step colours. 
Made some jungle terrain too. Made the base with 2 layers of cardboard and 1 layer of 2-3cm thick polysterene. The plants are IKEAs plastic plant and some trees I've done myself with wire and gauze bandage. Really like them. See if I make some desert ones too for my future tallarna force and North africa collection. Cheers!

 The paintign I've done lately. A real mix I must admit. Continue working on my Fallschirmsjäger from Warlord. They are turning out great. Glad I went with a standard paintjob. 2 bunker were also built by a small electric box and some bitz and cardboard. Works perfect form my Desert war collection.

My current projects. The Panzer IV and Panzer II are all done. The panzer IV is warlords resin tank repainted from a desert war scheme. Have enough tanks for that project. The PAnzer II is a 1/48 tank from Tamyia. Had to repair it and gave it a new coat of paint. Used AK Panzergrau. Very nice spraypaint. Painted them up for my early war germans collection I got. The fallschirmsjäger will join them too. An AT gun, support weapons for the fjs and some trucks and we're all set. Then to start building an early war allied army. Collecting never ends. Started all these stuff because I saw some rumour about plastic french infantry from warlord. That got my mojo going. Fun to to have one side in the coflivt done when the french arrive. If they arrive, since this was something someone posted on facebook.

My italian support weapons are also finished. Great set from Warlord. Need to get some more italians from them. Did actually buy my first Wargames atlantic miniatures. Got the italian box and they look like rather nice miniatures. And finally finished my Warzone Imperials trenches. They got a rough paintjob but painted nonetheless. Some washing and only 2 highlights here and there. Could have done more on these but don't have the energy nor time.

 The stuff I've been painting lately. Firstly is the Britsh airborne mini. A miniature from Warlord I've been working on on and off for some time. But now it is atleast finished. 

Second pic are Perrys french infantry. Surely familiar for you who's followed me for some time. Got lazy on the shield but they look rather spiffy with just one coat and some drynrush. Let's imagine they are city militia just given some cheap equipment from the armoury. 

Third pic is reinforcements for my chaos force. They finally got some heavy weapons like mortars and such. I made them from second hand minis I got cheap. Repositioned and swapped some arms here and there.

Fourth pic is my coming WW2 aussies for the desert war. 3 matildas and a box of perrys 8th army. The hats are also perrys. Metals that you buy seperate. There is several options in metal. Had to trim the heads a little but nothing seriuos. Gonna be fun to paint. Will use contrats on them except the tanks.

And lastly are my US marine. Painted with contrast just like my japanese. Quite a cool set with some. Really liked them especially after painting them. Went with 2 different uniforms to get some variation and the camouflage one is badass.

 Busy month. Finished of the knights from the previous post along with more crossbowmen and one or two longbowmen. Sadly got no finished shot of them as I put them in the cabinet and now they're like missing among 100 knights and men at arms.
My japs are also done after 5years I think. Almost only painted with contrast. Looks decent as I wasn't so careful painting them. My marines will also get the contrast treatment. I have to or else they'll never be finished. I'm starting to like contrast as it gives me a chance of finishing stuff I won't have time with. My new BA aussies have been assembled along with 3 matildas. Queen of the desert. Really beautiful tanks. The minis are Perry 8th army with metal hats. Quite a good fit after scalping the heads 1 or 2mm. Also prepeared my old Black tree design DAK troopers too. 20 or 30 troopers along with 2 mortars and 2 PaK40. Will also get the contrast treatment. They will be joined by a box of Warlord games DAK plastic box. Need more rifles to the force. And today I picked up an old school force of Sisters of battle with 2 immolators. Thinking of giving them a green base just for the old school feel.
So a lot going on and hopefully I can finish these projects and focus more on 1 or 2 projects and await the new Astra militarum minis. So hoping for death riders. Would so fit my new trench table I'm working on.

British Airborne

 Finished my british Airborne this month. Took like a year to paint. Wasn't particularly interested of finishing the,. They were a slog. Great minis though and they painted up real well. Will add some support units someday to make them into a real army for BA.
